As an Intuitive Energy Healer and Energy Coach, I have embraced the fact that everyone is at a different place in their 'process'. What do I mean by that? In my almost forty-one years of 'life', I have grown, changed, evolved, and transformed. Every impetus to each stage has caused me to move forward through my 'process'. How I will end up in my final stage, I am unsure. But what I do know is that every individual is healing from something physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually at all times, even if unconsciously doing so. And, therefore, every person is at a different point in their unfolding.
Most people would like to think there is an 'Endgame', where they hope to win the superhero victory over their shadow nemeses and enlightenment awaits like a trophy to be placed on the fluffy cloud-like mantle. If only it were as simple as using brute force and strength to clobber karmic patterns, ancestral wounds and previous programming! What I do my best to teach my clients is that the present moment is the destination. And where you heal is right here, right now.
It's a hard concept to learn because when we feel bad, all we want is to NOT feel bad. And for those who have been through long-standing issues, reprieves are more than just welcome visitors. When I was dealing with clinical depression and anxiety, it felt like there was no light at the end of the tunnel. Just when I would begin to feel slightly better on medication or through therapy, I would backslide. And then I discovered the power of meditation.
There are enough studies now on the benefits of meditation to make even the worst skeptic a believer. But, what I found was that for the first time in my life I knew what it meant to be in the present moment. Learning that took me out of the sadness and worry because that is what depression and anxiety are - states of past and future. And when you vacillate between both majority of the time, you are energetically functioning in a "teeter-totter" mode. The present moment stops the back-and-forth and you remain in stillness and balance. This is the relief most people seek on a daily basis.
From an energetic perspective, the longer you stay in the present moment, the more energy you retain for yourself. Contrary to popular 'unconscious' belief, you can prevent 'leaks' of your energy to other people, places, situations, and things. And if you retain more of your energy for yourself you can invest it wisely - much like the money in your bank account - and heal yourself!
As far-fetched as the notion may seem, I have seen enough miracles and experienced them myself to know that what was once thought of as impossible, really is possible. But, it only follows the understanding that the destination that you are seeking is already here before you. Acceptance and choosing to experience what you are is pivotal. Once this takes place, resistance towards what is releases and the energy for healing starts to liberate. This is your starting point.
Meditation helped me to comprehend what it means to embody the present moment. This is what I teach my clients. I had no guide. I had to fumble through and make the decision to meditate daily. Within 5-6 months I no longer was clinically depressed and no longer had debilitating panic attacks. At the end of that period, a female condition I had for 9 years disappeared and has not returned since. If I can do it, so can you. You and I are made of the same elements as what comprises the Universe. What do either of us have to fear?
